Woodyard Family Cemetery

The Woodyard Family Cemetery was established at the death of ex-Confederate soldier Lewis Woodyard in 1908. He died at the age of 67 and was buried in this family cemtery on Yates Ford Road. Another Woodyard family cemetery (Fairfax/Maley/Woodyard/Jett) is located in Clifton.

Other family members or neighbors, Stone and Marshall, are buried in this cemetery, too. Genealogical research might produce familial relationships. There are fieldstones and other unmarked burials inside and outside of this fenced cemetery. Today, the cemetery is located on park land belonging to the Northern Virginia Park Authority at Bull Run Marina. A visit by FCCPA members in July 2009 found it well maintained.
