    Frying Pan Spring Baptist Meeting House cemetery dates back to the early 1800s. Grave markers include obelisks, monument markers and field stones for approximately 40 to 50 church members.     The FCCPA held a two day seminar October 23-24, 2010 at Frying Pan Farm Park and Frying Pan Baptist Meeting House Cemetery in Herndon, Virginia. Approximately 50 attended from throughout the Metropolitan Washington, DC area.

    Frying Pan Park Baptist Meeting House Cemetery

    Surveyors visited this cemetery in June 2009 and again in January 2010. Many more field stones were located during the January visit. Several markers need cleaning and some are threatened by trees. The area where African Americans are buried needs brush and fallen trees removed before a complete survey could be completed.
