The project, led by Eagle Scout candidate Alex Scheetz of Troop 1501, was scheduled for October 29th, 2011. Who could have predicted an October rain/snow storm would force a postponement? The following day, the troop members cleaned and stabilized markers, did extensive trimming, and a general cleanup of the cemetery. The cemetery is regularly mowed, but it benefited greatly from the sprucing up.
